As your splash page loaded, I saw your enter sign first. I was just like. “Wow.” You must have worked hard on that image… It really pulls the visitors eyes to it, and then flows into the requirements, the links, and what song you had playing inside. I loved your splash page.
Your layout was the first think I saw, when I entered. Which was good. The header images was amazing, it was put together really really well. I liked it. The navigation was clear, and straightforeward, which was nice. I knew what went where. I liked how you headed your blogs, with the date/subject. Your general page layout was very simple, and nice. Your main div was big enough where it could hold alot of text, and you dont have to scroll miles and miles to read a simple entry. I checked your source, and I was happy to see you used nice tables, and it was all good. :) Your layout was all functional in both IE and FF.
You had a large amount of content about yourself, which was very nice. It was enough for me to feel like I know you, in a distant way. :P You had alot of nice content for visitors too, and some unique ideas, such as the gatheringclouds.net email address. Your graphics were all really nice, the free layouts were beautiful. You had some really nice desktops, and overall you had a good selection of graphics. You had nice detailed tutorials, which I liked, although you didnt have too many. There were alot of reads to look at, which I liked because those tend to keep visitors busy and happy. :) I liked your interact section, especially the “claim a…” ones.
When I was looking through your site, I dont think I spotted any grammar/spelling errors. However, in your games section, I found only one dead link, I think.
I checked your style sheet, and you had some errors, mostly were your colored scrollbar. You had one warning, which was to provide a generic font family. To see your full style report, click here. When I looked at your HTML on a few random pages, I liked what I saw, although you seemed to repeat your whole header, starting with the doctype, and ending with the closing head tag. That was alittle strange. Overall, nice.
I checked out your site in the resolutions 1024 x 768, and 800 x 600. Everything looked great. ;) As for browsers, I used FF and IE. In FF your PHP currently CSS didnt show up although it did in IE. Everything else was good though.
I really liked the design of Gathering Clouds, I thought it was kinda unique and well planned. The only thing that bothered me was you didnt really title your pages (with the title tags). You just had like “games” or something. Which kindof confused me because I’m used to seeing like “GatheringClouds.Net - Games” or something. Meep. Good job, with everything else though. :)
